Facility and camp reservations

Reservations for facilities managed by the Youth Work Unit of the Environmental Services Department must be made using the Youth Services facility reservation form in the fall of the previous year. The application period for 2026 camp center slots was open from August 1 to September 15, 2025, and has now closed.

Applications for 2027 will be accepted from August 1 to September 15, 2026, and the link to the application form will be available on this page starting August 1, 2026.
Any remaining available slots for 2026 can be booked directly through Varaamo starting January 12, 2026.

Allocation of Slots and Pricing

When allocating facility reservations, priority is given to Helsinki-based youth organizations and youth groups, Sotep children’s homes, and school field trips; other Helsinki-based groups and schools are given secondary priority. The facilities are free of charge for the aforementioned Helsinki-based organizations, among others.
The groups eligible for free use of the facilities are listed on the Booking Youth Facilities and Camp Centers page. For businesses and religious communities, rental fees approved by the Culture and Leisure Committee apply. You can find the prices on Varaamo.

Application periods and explanations for facility reservations

• Slots for camp and course activities (approximately 1–7 days at a time for camp- or course-style activities) for the following calendar year (Jan. 1–Dec. 31) must be applied for using the online form between Aug. 1 and Sept. 15. The application period ends on September 15 at 11:59 PM. The processing period for facility reservations is September 16–October 15. Applicants will be notified of their reservation status by October 16 via email at: ymparistotoiminta@hel.fi
  
• Slots for day camp activities (3–7 days at a time, no overnight stays; the facility may be used by others in the evenings) are applied for in the same way as slots for camp and course activities.
  Individual slots (day trips, meetings, and other events) for the following calendar year are also requested in the same way as slots for camp and course activities.
  
• For seasonal activities (regular, e.g., weekly sessions recurring throughout the year), facilities are requested annually in April.
  
• Slots for the current calendar year can only be reserved directly through Varaamo.
