Edible Park

Introduction

A summer paradise within walking distance!

The Edible Park’s urban natural environment provides a great setting for creative work, art and nature-themed workshops, cultivation and animal care.

During the summer, the park serves a venue for free-of-charge environmental activities for young people. In the park, you can engage in activities such as handicrafts, environmental art, making natural cosmetics, taking care of chickens, participating in cultivation and gardening activities, and enjoying the young people’s summer café. In the spring and autumn, nature school programmes and nature-based team-building activities are organised in the park.

The main target group of the park is young people aged between 12 and 25, who can participate in daily services provided by summer employees and trainees, supported and assisted by the park’s youth workers.

You can come and get acquainted with the park’s activities independently during its opening hours. The park is intended for young people, youth organisations and municipal residents.

All Helsinki residents are welcome to participate in the park’s cultivation activities. You can find more information on the cultivation group’s website: https://sphelsinki.wordpress.com
