Welcome to the OmaStadi development workshop at Oodi on 27 May
OmaStadi is a way for Helsinkians to be included, via participatory budgeting, in what and how things are done in their home city. In March 2026, there was a vote. As a result, a total of 54 projects were chosen for implementation.
Thanks to these new OmaStadi projects, young people will have more opportunities and their everyday life will improve in many parts of the city. New projects are: a late-night café for young people in eastern Helsinki, a youth center in Vartiokylä/Puotila, learning support, summer jobs and much more.
Welcome to the OmaStadi development workshop at Oodi on 27 May
We invite everyone to join us in planning future projects at the OmaStadi development workshop
Time: Wednesday 27 May at 17.30–19.30
Place: Central Library Oodi, Maijansali hall
At this event, you will have the opportunity to discuss OmaStadi projects with other residents and City specialists, and to influence how the projects are implemented in practice. You will also find out how projects are being implemented and what they cost. You will also be able to enjoy performing arts, snacks and refreshments. There will also be special activities for children.
The programme will be in Finnish, but you can also participate in the discussion in Swedish or English. Oodi’s Maijansali hall is an accessible space, and there is no need to register in advance. Come along and co-develop with us!
You can also participate online
You can get a head start in influencing the implementation of projects by commenting on them on the OmaStadi website. Comments are open until 1 June.
