For whom is the Youth Environment Space intended?
The Youth Environment Space and its activities are mainly aimed at 9–17-year-olds and groups of young people. We also have activities for young adults up to the age of 29. Groups of young people and youth organisations, for example, may reserve the space for their use.
For what purpose can the Youth Environment Space be reserved?
Youth organisations and other groups providing recreational activities for young people can reserve the space for their club or course activities. Youth groups can also reserve the space for planning and organising their activities, for example.
Can you have a birthday party in the Youth Environment Space?
Temporary Youth Environment Space reservations can be applied using the facility reservation form. Priority is given to youth groups and organisations. The use of the facilities and services is divided into free-of-charge use and use subject to a fee. For more information, visit the reservations page.
Are the events in the Youth Environment Space open to all?
Events in the Youth Environment Space are open to all young people. The Youth Environment Space is a space free of discrimination, and everyone is welcome to explore the activities. Depending on the content and theme of the event, there may be age restrictions, for example.
Kan jag ta med mina böcker till återvinningshyllan för böcker?
I lokalen finns en återvinningshylla för böcker, där vem som helst kan hitta något att läsa åt sig själv. Man får också ta dit böcker som andra kan läsa. Man kan besöka hyllan medan lokalen har öppet. En del av böckerna finns i bokkärran framför lokalen, som också kan användas av förbipasserande.
Can I bring my books to the book recycling shelf?
The facility has a book recycling shelf where anyone can pick up something to read. Books can also be brought to the shelf for others to read. You can visit the shelf within the opening hours of the facility. Some books can be found in the book cart available in front of the facility for anyone passing by.
Can I come and play in the Youth Environment Space?
The Youth Environment Space has a broad selection of board, card and strategy games. You can come and play in the facility alone or with friends within the opening hours. We also have board game theme evenings about once a month. If it is computer or console games you are after, you can play them, for example, in Herttoniemi at the Hertsi Youth Club.
Is there a café in the Youth Environment Space?
We have a Youth Eco Café where you can buy coffee, tea, juice and environmentally friendly delicacies at a reasonable price. The café is open during certain events, such as pet café evenings. In the summer, the ecocafé operates at the Youth Island Gallery on the island of Vartiosaari. The café prefers card payments.
When is the Youth Environment Space open?
The Youth Environment Space has activities from Monday to Friday. Mondays are reserved for small groups. You can register for small group activities at harrastushaku.fi. Tuesdays are reserved for organisations. On Wednesdays, Thursdays and Fridays, we have open workshops and events which do not require prior registration for primary school children from 14:00 to 17:00 and secondary school children from 17:00 to 20:00.
