Signaalimedia is a youth culture editorial maintained by the City of Helsinki's youth services for young people aged 13–25.
At Signaalimedia, you can create your own podcast and other media projects, either on your own, with friends, or with other young people.
Kipinä Youth Activity House contains facilities and equipment for recording your own podcast, with or without video recording. Through Varaamo, you can book a time in Studio Mettä with guided session from our staff, helping you learn how to use the equipment independently. After the guided session, you can reserve Studio Mettä for independent recording. For editing, we provide access to Adobe Creative Cloud software and Logic Pro.
You can also borrow podcast recording equipment and various other gear from us. The standard loan period is one week at a time.
You can find our completed projects on Signaalimedia’s channels, such as Instagram or Spotify.
The City of Helsinki Youth Services’ membership card, also called Jässäri, is your free digital pass to youth centre activities, events and hobbies all over Helsinki. The membership card activates once the guardian accepts the application.
The City of Helsinki never shares the contact information of young people or their guardians with anyone, and users always have the right to check the data we have collected. More information about Helsinki’s youth services is available at Things to do and places – Youth Helsinki and on our social media channels.
