Self-expression and positive feelings! Narri offers developing and addictive theatre activities for 9–29-year-olds. You do not need previous experience in doing theatre to participate.
The theatre activities include youth theatre groups, camps, courses, workshops, performances, events, a forum theatre and Narri Stage.
There are 25 regular youth theatre groups for young people aged 9 to 29 in Narri. 13 of the groups train in the premises of Narri Stage in Sörnäinen and 12 in the youth and culture centres elsewhere in Helsinki.
At the core of Narri’s activities are youth theatre groups. Participation in Narri’s theatre activities costs €50/year. The groups last for a whole school year, from September till the end of May. You can attend a couple of meetings to see whether you get bitten by the theatre bug!
The theatre groups provide training in movement, speech and emotional expression, improvisations and role exercises. During the spring season, most groups prepare their own performance based on their own wishes and ideas.
Narri organises a theatre and media camp and theatre courses in the summer. During the week-long camp, which includes overnight stay, the participants work together closely in making theatre and media. On the theatre course, the participants practise theatre for a few hours per day and then give a performance at the end of the week.
Narri Stage’s facilities can primarily be booked by Helsinki-based youth groups and associations for rehearsals, performances, filming and seminars related to the performing arts.

The greatness of our theatre activities stems from the enchanting atmosphere of theatre art: this includes an encouraging group, working together and expressing ourselves in the presence of professional directors.
At their best, theatre groups, camps and courses offer an unforgettable experience of belonging to a group and the power of working together.
Our premise is that every young person is valuable and interesting as they are. Because of this uniqueness, youth theatre is relevant.
You can reach Narri’s instructors on weekdays from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m.
