Vesala Youth Centre

Here you can meet up with your friends in a safe and supervised environment and get to know other young people around the same age who visit the building. The facilities allow for a wide range of activities: we have a darts board, a pool table, a ping pong table, a dance hall and mirror, pinball and various console games, among other things. The youth centre also includes a separate crafts room.

The activities are for the most part open, i.e. young people plan and implement activities at the youth centre together with youth workers. We also have instructor-led small groups that are for the most part led by assistant instructors we have trained (young people participating in the youth centre’s activities) for the youngest users of the building.

Get a membership card

You need a membership card in order to participate in our activities. It is completely free of charge and does not require anything of you. Young people over the age of 13 can register online at jassari.hel.fi and send the application to their guardians for approval. Those younger than 13 must fill in an application and return it to the youth centre. In addition to their contact details and permission to take photographs of them, the application asks for their parents’ consent.

We are also happy to cooperate with parents. Guardians are welcome to come and familiarise themselves with the youth centre’s activities together with their children.
