Summer activities

Munkkiniemi's youth work unit organizes versatile summer activities. In June, you can enjoy football activities, a summer camps with friends, wakeboarding, excursions and creative art activities.

During June, our young summer workers maintain an eco-café in front of the Munkkiniemi library and youth center at Riihitie 22. Come and enjoy salty and sweet delicacies on weekdays from 10:30 a.m. to 3:30 p.m.

In July, other youth centre of Munkkiniemi youth work unit in Pikku Huopalahti is open on Friday and Saturday evenings. On Tuesdays we organise  girls’ nights at the center.

In June

Mondays from 17:00 to 20:30 for those starting 7th grade – 17 years old

In June and July

Fridays

15:00 – 17:30 for those starting grades 3 to 6                                                                18:00 – 21:30 for those starting 7th grade to 17 years olds

Saturdays

15:00 – 17:30 for those starting grades 3 to 6                                                                          18:00 – 21:30 for those starting 7th grade to 17 years olds

In August, the summer vacation culminates in a soccer tournament at the Töölö ball field. NubuCup is played before the start of the school year on August 5-6. Welcome!

Munkkiniemi youth center is under renovation

Renovation will last until fall of 2025. During renovation we operate in temporary space on the ground floor of the library and at the Munkkivuori youth center.

Munkkiniemi Youth Center

Munkkiniemi Youth Center offers activities for everyone. Young people can play games, engage in hobbies, cook, make art, craft items or simply hang out. The building’s equipment includes pool and ping pong tables, various game consoles, computers, a TV, a kitchen, a band room and a HUM (Helsinki Unity Music) recording studio! 

In our facilities, you can participate in the youth centre’s events or organise your own events!

Get a membership card!

You need a membership card in order to visit the youth center. You can get one free of charge, without it requiring anything of you.
Youth centre provides a paper form that must be filled in by the young person’s guardian and returned to the youth centre.
