Free activities at the Fallkulla livestock farm during the autumn season
Activities for 12–17-year-olds on Wednesdays and Fridays 17.00–20.00
The activities, i.e. work division, include animal care: cleaning, feeding, brushing and sometimes horse riding or pony driving. Sometimes you may also get to bake or craft things. Please wear weather-appropriate clothing. No advance registration required.
The extended Friday sessions for 12-17 year-olds will take place on October 23 and December 11. Activities for the older group begin at 17:00 and end at 22:00. Please note that these extended evenings do not include activities with the barn animals; instead, the program features other fun group activities.
On Thursdays, 12–17-year-olds can attend various animal courses at 17.00–20.00. Please register for the courses in advance at http://harrastukset.hel.fi/en.
During the autumn break, Fallkulla Domestic Animal Farm offers barn and animal-related activities for young people aged 9–17, running from Monday to Thursday between 10:30 a.m. and 3:00 p.m. And on Saturday, October 17, from 10:30 a.m. to 3:00 p.m. Task include caring for animals, cleaning pens, and baking. Goats, sheep, rabbits, ponies, cows, and chickens await your care at Fallkulla. Registration for autumn break activities opens on Wednesday, September 30, at 5:00 p.m. at harrastukset.hel.fi. Due to high demand, each young person may sign up for a maximum of two weekday sessions.
