HURT
HURT toolkit for discussing bullying and domestic violence for adults working with children and young people
The HURT toolkit includes a guide on bullying, three short films and related question cards. All of the material is available in Finnish, Swedish and English. The HURT toolkit is designed for adults working with children and young people, such as teachers, hobby instructors or coaches, and parents and guardians. The short films and related questions can also be used to discuss issues with children and young people, for example in a classroom or hobby group.
The ‘HURT – Information on Bullying’ guide is an information package on the phenomenon of bullying and its different manifestations. The guide also offers ways to support both the perpetrator and the person who is experiencing bullying.
Each short film is accompanied by questions that adults, children and young people can use to discuss the film after watching it. The questions will help with processing the emotions and thoughts evoked by the films in a safe environment.
The HURT short films give voice to experiences that are often left untold. The films, based on real stories, deal with bullying, domestic violence and inappropriate behaviour at home and in the context of hobbies. These are places where we should be safe.
