- Äkkivääriä flamingon sääriä is a production by Finland’s Reciters’ Union, which was created by Finland’s leading reciters Eero Ojala and Jussi Lankoski. The performance premiered in 2018 and has since then toured the country in day care centres, libraries and cultural facilities. In the spring of 2021, Ojala’s performance came second in the national monologue competition, only a point away from the first position. The performance has been compiled from Laura Ruohonen’s poetry books for children Allakkapullakka, Yökyöpelit and Tippukivitapaus. It is a raucously funny ode to friendship, fun, rebellion and gastronomy.
