Finnish Youth Centres (SNK) – adventure education
Finnish Youth Centres (Finnish Youth Centre Association, SNK) is the largest and most versatile camp organiser in Finland. The Finnish Youth Centre Association coordinates the Finnish Adventure Education Network, appointed to the task by the Ministry of Education and Culture.
The Finnish Youth Centre Association coordinates the cooperation, services and development of the national youth centres mentioned in the Youth Act. Finnish Youth Centres’ mission is to promote internationalisation and sustainability among young people. Finnish Youth Centres also coordinate the Finnish Adventure Education Network.
Adventure education is a method that aims to produce experiences that support personal growth through adventure. Adventure education is safe, professionally instructed and goal-oriented.
Among other places, Youth Services organise team-building activities based on adventure education at House of Adventure in Vuosaari.
