What are the Youth Budget negotiations?
The Youth Budget negotiations determine how the Youth Budget proposals that received the most votes will be implemented in practice and which proposals will receive Youth Budget funding. Young people voted for their favourite proposals from the area of their choice between 5.-30.10.. The negotiations begin with a smaller group reviewing the voting results and discussing how the proposals should be implemented and which proposals will be taken forward to the regional negotiations.
A total of €150,000 from Helsinki’s shared Youth Budget has been allocated to the proposals. Decisions on how this funding will be distributed are made during the larger regional negotiations. The smaller unit-level negotiations are usually held at youth centres after the school day. The larger regional negotiations will take place at Tiivistämö on 23.-25.11.
