Environmental art adventure – Children's environment-themed summer camps
Description
Feathered fairytale birds descend on Kanneltalo and the surrounding countryside. They invite you to a bird-themed environmental and artistic adventure.
The camp is booked solid. Enquiries about potential openings can be sent to producer Liisa Paatsalo at liisa.paatsalo@hel.fi, 040 7522 290.
Art camps are a way of working with creative expression and observing your own environment. At the same time, you can consider how what you do relates to and affects everything else around you. We will learn about different basic techniques of drawing and painting as well as about materials available from nature. We will draw in the local forest and make disappearing environmental installations.
Taught by visual artist Sade Hiidenkari, M.A. The art camps are organised in cooperation with the Helsinki Artists’ Association.
Camp 1: Mon 6 June – Fri 10 June at 10–14
Camp 2: Mon 13 June – Fri 17 June at 10–14
Camp 3: Mon 1 August – Fri 5 August at 10–14
The camps are free of charge but require a commitment to work for the whole week. Each art camp takes 10 students. Bring your own lunch!
