The Youth Island Gallery
Description
Experience breath-taking nature and the memorable art and craft workshops of the Youth Island Gallery, all in one location on Vartiosaari island!
The Youth Island Gallery will once again be open to visitors on the island of Vartiosaari. The gallery can be visited from 7 June to 6 August 2021.
The gallery is a place where nature, art and crafts meet. Surrounded by natural beauty, youth people can exercise their creativity, grow crops, tend to animals and enjoy nature.
In 2021, we will ponder our connection to nature and the sea, in particular, through art, crafts and activities outdoors. We will gaze upon the future horizon – what can we see?
We will experience nature and the sea through exploration, creative activities, adventures and expeditions. We will create friendly messages in bottles for the world.
During the summer, the Island gallery will host week-long day camps and individual workshop days. Furthermore, an exhibition open to all will be held at the end of July, showcasing artwork created during the summer. An eco café, Nuorten Ekokahvila, will serve gallery visitors daily.
