Summer trip to Lappeenranta!
Description
Hi! We are 3 young people from Helsinki. Do you want to join us in conquering the map of Finland at one piece at a time - starting from Lappeenranta? Are you interested in seeing and experiencing Finnish cities? If you answered yes, this trip is for you!
Helsinki Youth Services is organizing a trip to Lappeenranta on June the 30th. During the trip, you will get to know the Lappeenranta landscape from a local perspective. In addition to the coast, we will go see the local chuches as well as the Lappeenranta Fortress. We will go swimming as well during the trip. The trip will be topped with wonderful local food and great company. All 13-17 year olds are welcome to join us!
There will be a lot of walking on the trip and it is recommended to dress according to the weather. You will need good walking shoes and a good attitude - they will get you far! The trip is free for participants, including travel and meals.
To register for the trip, you need to get a permission form from the Ruoholahti youth workers and return it to the Ruoholahti youth centre. The permission form will be available from Friday 5 June onwards and can be returned no later than Thursday 25 June. There are a limited number of places on the trip, so it is worth acting quickly. The opening hours and contact information for the Ruoholahti youth centre can be found here: Ruoholahti youth centre Koralli - Youth Helsinki
The trip is part of the Youth Budget's Southern Region Castle and Museum Trips in Finland project. You can read about the Youth Budget and other Youth Budget projects here: Youth Budget Projects 2026 - Youth Helsinki
