What is the Youth Budget negotiation group?
In the Youth Budget, young people get to influence the City of Helsinki's youth services budget. The Youth Budget goes through four phases each year: in the spring: data collection, and in the fall: workshops, voting, and negotiations.

In the workshops, we will plan feasible activities for 2026 based on the responses from the data collection and ideas from young people. In the fall, there will be a vote on these proposals in schools.

The role of the negotiation group is to discuss which ideas that received votes will be chosen as implementation proposals for Mellunkylä and Östersundom, and which ideas will receive a share of the youth services' 150,000 euros. Anyone can join the negotiation group!
