Introduction

I’m your average teenager who owns a dog, has a lot of hobbies and wants to start delivering newspapers.

Hobbies: Falkulla, playing the violin, drawing, singing, reading, going out a lot, playing games, doing crafts, walking my dog, watching anime, reading manga, spending time with my friends, swimming and playing the piano.

Schools should have more days during which they only serve vegetarian food.

Vegetarian days help conserve nature and are nice, but one or two days a week is enough. There is always a vegetarian option available.

 

Schools should focus on grouping more extensively than now.

This helps the class develop, unite and improve.

 

Distance learning needs to be established as a permanent learning method in addition to contact teaching.

Many young people study better at home than at school and are more comfortable at home.

 

The competitiveness of young people’s sports activities should be reduced.

Many people want a more demanding hobby and many others do not.

 

The City of Helsinki should primarily offer summer jobs to those young people who do not yet have work experience.

Young people might be interested in getting a summer job.

 

The public spaces in Helsinki should maintain the division between women’s and men’s toilets.

In public toilets, it does not matter if it is a women’s or men’s toilet, because there are stalls.

 

Helsinki should start offering free public transport to those under 18.

Many young people have hobbies, and free public transport would be really useful for young people.

 

It would be better if there were no e-scooters in Helsinki.

Many people use e-scooters, and it would be better to keep them.

 

For a member of the Youth Council, pushing their own goals through is a more important quality than agreeing on compromises.

Promoting your own goals is important, but deciding together is fairer.
