Voting

All residents of Helsinki born between 2008 and 2012 may vote in the Helsinki Youth Council election. The right to vote is determined based on the year of birth.

You will be identified at the voting station at school or in the Youth Centre, after which you will receive a personal numerical code that you can use to sign in to the voting service.

  1. Select the candidate you want to vote for.
  2. Confirm your vote.
  3. Thank you, you have voted!
  4. You can discard your voting code in the bin.

Note! If you do not complete the voting process or you cancel the process before confirming your vote, your vote will not be registered in the system and your voting code will not be considered used. You can vote again at a voting station or Youth Centre in your area.

YOU CANNOT CANCEL OR EDIT YOUR VOTE AFTER CONFIRMATION.

Voting places and dates

You can vote at your school during the school day or at your nearest youth centre. The voting will go more smoothly if you remember your postal code and birth year in addition to your name.

You can check the election number of your candidate on an election poster at the voting place.
