Kulttuurilabra

Kultturilabra is a renovated space in Roihuvuori for the youth and it originates from the youth’s initiative.

Welcome to visit the youth’s own art exhibitions! There is an ongoing search for artists. The space is also a public living room for the youth on Mondays and Thursdays from 5pm to 8pm.

In the public living room, you can hang out around art, play games, make art and enjoy the exhibitions.

Kulttuurilabra also offers self-willing activities for the youth, so the space acts as its own art workspace.

There are youth groups such as improv group and creativity group.

Accessibility:

• Kulttuurilabra and its entry is located on top of a steep hill. The hill is around 5 meter long and in an 50° angle.
• At the moment, there is not an accessible entrance to the facilities. It is being solved.
• The accessible entry is through the side door. Now instead of a proper ramp there is a temporary arrangement. There are two consecutive 2cm high thresholds. You can’t go over them with an electric wheelchair.
• (At the front door there are three 2cm high thresholds and the entryway is 1 meter deep.)
•  All the furniture in the space are moveable and they can be rearranged.
• There is a spacious accessible toilet.
• The kitchen and the fridge are communal. The kitchen includes a high counter, but there are low tables as well.
•  There is not an induction loop for people with impaired hearing.
