Free experiences for children and young people in Helsinki for the whole year!
Now it is time for Helsinki residents aged 7–19 years to enjoy free experiences! This year, Helsinki residents aged under 20 years can enjoy outdoor swimming pools, movies, concerts and even modern circus free of charge until the end of the year with the Jässäri card.

Go swimming – free of charge
Young can hang out at the Swimming Stadion and Kumpula outdoor swimming pool in summer without having money in your pocket. What would be a better way to spend a hot summer’s day than hanging out with your friends at the swimming pool?

Impressive culture – without a price tag
The spring programme has everything from concerts to circus performances. Among others, you can watch movies free of charge at Kino Caisa, listen to bands such as Värttinä and Wilma Jää or experience something new, including the MUIAT circus performance.

Dive in the history of Helsinki at Villa Hakasalmi
Villa Hakasalmi next to Musiikkitalo offers the opportunity to look at the city’s past. This, too, will be free of charge for you throughout the year.

Visit Kontula indoor skatepark free of charge – You only need the Jässäri card!
The largest indoor skatepark in Finland offers top-class skateboard ramps, rails and other elements for beginners and more experienced skaters alike. You can now hone your tricks, try new lines or just spend time with friends and skateboarding.

Jässäri is your entrance ticket for free experiences

All this will be available to you with Helsinki Youth Services’ Jässäri membership card that is free of charge and easy to use. Your guardian just has to register your membership online using strong identification if you are under 18. You can register yourself if you are of age. Download the Populon application on your phone through which you can show your registered details to enjoy free experiences. By allowing notifications, you will also receive information on interesting events at youth centres. Jässäri is also your key to youth centre events, recreational activities and other activities.

Youth centres and libraries help you in registering Jässäri.
If it is not possible for the guardian to identify themselves or for the young person to use the application, a plastic card can be obtained for the young person. Read more about the plastic membership card.

Pick up Jässäri and enjoy
The Helsinki City Council will celebrate its 150th anniversary by offering huge benefits for young people in 2025! This is a unique opportunity to try new things, spend time with friends and enjoy Helsinki’s activities more diversely than ever. All of this free of charge.  For more information and the events calendar, see this page and Instagram at @nuorten.helsinki
