Get Jässäri and stay informed

The Helsinki Youth Services membership card, commonly known as Jässäri, is your key to youth centres, events and hobbies. With Jässäri, you and your guardian get information about events and activities at the nearest youth centre directly on your phone – no fear of missing out on anything!

Jässäri is digital, which means you use it through a web browser or an app on your phone. To start using Jässäri, your guardian must register you online with strong authentication. If you’re over 18, you can register yourself as a Jässäri user. Jässäri is free and gives you access to a lot of fun things, so registering is really worth it.

With Jässäri, you’ll get information about events at the local youth centre and other youth services conveniently to your phone. To use Jässäri, you need the Populon app, which you’ll find in your app store. Download the app to your phone, sign in with the credentials you set up during registration, and enable notifications. From now on, you won’t have to hear about events only after they’ve happened! Guardians can also download the app and stay informed about what’s happening at the youth centre.

You usually do strong authentication using your online banking credentials, but don’t worry – money has nothing to do with it, Jässäri is free of charge. When registering a young person, the guardian must fill in their own and the young person’s information on the form. For safety reasons, we need your guardian’s up-to-date contact details so that we can contact them immediately if necessary.

If you have difficulties registering, you can visit a youth centre or library with your guardian and ask the employees for help. You can also get help by calling the Jässäri customer service at +358 9 310 27201 (on weekdays from 8 to 16).

Jässäri is open to all young people using youth centres and youth services. Once your registration is done, the doors of the youth centres are wide open!

Jässäri gives you access to music studios, art groups and the wide range of games and events at youth centres. There are also courses and camps available, and as a Jässäri holder, you can even apply for grants or organise your own event!

Helsinki has more than 50 youth centres and activity spots, so there is definitely plenty to choose from. Youth work professionals are always present at youth centres.
