If you are worried about your own substance use, help is available

You don’t have to try to cope on your own.  You are welcome at Youth Substance Abuse Service Pysäkki to have a chat and spend time just as you are.

Youth Substance Abuse Service Pysäkki operates in Herttoniemi, Helsinki, on Laivalahdenkatu street. This service is intended for young people aged 13–24 living in Helsinki, who are concerned about their own substance use.

“Pysäkki is a safe space and here everyone is equal regardless of their situation or starting point. And so… come as you are. We are here just for you,” says Pysäkki employee Emma Laatikainen

At Pysäkki, you can go directly to the reception without an appointment on weekdays between 9–15. There are always substance abuse work professionals present. If you wish, they will provide you with conversational help, advice, and guidance.

You can bring along a support person, such as a friend, a sibling, a parent or some other adult. You can also come to Pysäkki even if you are intoxicated and wish to remain anonymous.

Pysäkki offers a range of support

Pysäkki enables you to access opioid substitution treatment. You can also get a referral to detoxification treatment, with access available even on the same day. You decide what kind of support you want.
Community activities are organised at Pysäkki daily according to a weekly program, and free meals are available every day.
The services at Pysäkki are free of charge, voluntary, and confidential. If necessary, we can arrange an interpreter for you.
