Have you ever dreamt of putting together your own DJ sets, or would you like to know how club and festival DJs make their track transitions sound seamless?

This short course for beginners introduces you to the basics of DJing in a laid-back and encouraging atmosphere. The course covers how to use the equipment, have a sense of rhythm and beatmatching, the structure of tracks, and how to utilise various effects and the equaliser (EQ) during transitions. You will get to try everything in practice right from the very first time!

On this course, you will learn about things such as the basic functions of DJ equipment and software, beatmatching by ear and by using tools, smooth track transitions and effects tricks, and how to build an effective and energetic DJ set.

The course is taught by Sainey Gibba / Elere, from the drum and bass duo Askel & Elere, who have made their mark on international stages and record labels. Drawing on his experience with production and live performances, Elere guides you to the heart of DJ culture with practical advice and tips.

No previous experience required – all you need is enthusiasm for music!
