You have to dare let go and jump into the unknown, so that something new can emerge.

Unleashed is a choreography for two acrobats, created by dance artist Riku Lehtopolku. Through acrobatics and dance expression, this contemporary circus act explores the relationships between people in today’s world and the theme of letting go. What expectations does the current world situation place on human relationships? And what about us? What do we want to cling to? What changes if you allow yourself to be carried away by the current? You have to dare let go and jump into the unknown, so that something new can emerge. The work delves deep into the depths of humanity, using the physical bodies of the performers and movement that combines acrobatics and dance as its instruments.

The work stars acrobats Haidi Sadonkorpi and Jilka Repo. The work features aerial acrobatics, pair dance acrobatics, and acrobatics with a Cyr wheel. Sound artist Mikko H. Haapoja’s music, with a bass jouhikko bowed lyre as the main instrument, brings its own layer to the work. The light design is by Kauri Klemelä.
Fragile Kollektiivi
Fragile Kollektiivi is a community of independent artists. We started our collaboration with the contemporary circus act Fierce, which premiered in October 2019. In 2022, we produced Fragile, the second part in this trilogy of works, which explores human relationships through dance and acrobatics. Unleashed is the final part of this trilogy of works.
