An earth-shattering selection of punk energy and attitude will take over the Malmi Summer of Events stage. You can bathe in the mobile sauna and leave refreshed and worry-free.

The day is kicked off with a workout and activity session hosted by the Malmi Youth Work Unit, where people of all ages have a chance to challenge themselves and explore the activities.

Get ready for some powerful music in the evening: Hites serves ironic and energetic post-punk, Aino & Hajonneet offers a catchy mix of Finnish punk and power-pop and the evening is topped off with J.M.K.E., an Estonian punk icon churning out critical lyrics and aggressive melodies.

Malmi Youth Work Unit summer workers host pleasant activities open to all. Come and join in the fun! The event features exercise and activities for people of all ages.

Mobile sauna + shower
Pack your own towel and a sauna whisk, if you like, and come and bathe in the sauna! We will provide visitors a chance to bathe in the mobile sauna and take a shower to make the event day even more relaxed.

HITES
HITES is an unapologetic British-Finnish post-punk group from Helsinki. The multinational group, established in 2023, have gained a cult following in the Helsinki underground punk scene through their charged and humorous live performances.

The raw, unhinged vocals emanate straight from the belly of the bread line, wrapped in irony and heavy distortion. Musically, HITES mixes punk, metal and funk vibes with an appropriate amount of experimentation. This creates a unique sound that lives on.

Aino & Hajonneet
Aino & Hajonneet, who released their third album ‘Enemmän kuin mitään muuta’ in September 2024, was established in 2020. Their musical roots can be found at the crossroads of Finnish melodic punk and power-pop. ”Where your heartache, bruises and dreams are served straight from the bottle as they are while you wait for the first morning bus.” Their debut album ‘Hullui unelmii’ was released through Svart Records in October 2021, and their second album ‘Kuluneita kaikuja’ was released in February 2023. Thanks to their quick release rate, the band has been touring clubs and festivals in Finland almost nonstop.

J.M.K.E.
J.M.K.E, led by Villu Tamme, is a legendary Estonian punk band, which was established in Tallinn already in 1986. J.M.K.E is known for their political lyrics and aggressive melody hooks.

‘Tere Perestroika,’ published in 1989, has lived on as the theme of the band.
‘Külmale maale’, their debut album released that same year, is one of greatest punk/HC albums by any comparison.

The band has since released several albums and toured Europe. The vocalist, Villu Tamme, has become a national icon in Estonia (and to some extent in Finland as well), resembling our own Pelle Miljoona.
