Winter break at Annantalo: By nature
Description
The sparkling of frost, the rustling of conifers and the sighing of forest spirits! During Annantalo’s winter break week, we will have a diverse nature-themed programme.
The break starts on Saturday 15 February with Iida Vanttaja’s performance The mountain that loved a bird. The work uses shadow theatre to tell the story of a friendship between a lonely mountain and a migrating bird.
Lomakino invites holidaying pupils to enjoy nature-themed films! The WALL-E robot, Ponyo fish, Bigfoot family and Ainbo from the rainforest lead viewers on unforgettable adventures. Admission is free to the movies. No advance registration required.
The popular AnnanHouse disco event will be organised on Friday 21 February under the theme “dancing forest folk”. Dress like a leprechaun, a troll, or even a bear! You can also visit the Annantalo costume shop to borrow disco clothes for the dance floor. There will also be art workshops that fit the theme.
During the break week, Annantalo will organise a dance course called The Floor is Lava for 8–10-year-olds. The free course is implemented in cooperation with Zodiak and Janina Rajakangas. Registration for the course opens at 9.00 on Thu 5 December on the Annantalo website.
Join us to have fun in nature!
