The hugely popular AnnanHouse Disco takes over Annantalo again!

The theme of the disco is dancing forest folk. Dress like a leprechaun, a troll, or even a bear! You can also visit the Annantalo costume shop to borrow some fabulous disco clothes.

AnnanHouse is a special electronic dance music and disco culture event for the whole family. Annantalo’s own DJ, Nicolas Sebastien is in charge of the music, ranging from house to disco. During the disco evening, you can also hop in for dance lessons, pop into the themed art workshops and take a tour of the exhibition.

Schedule
4.30 pm Dress shop SÄDE opens.
Workshops begin: p lunge into the atmosphere of the magic forest in a drawing workshop, enjoy an enchanting story time, become a forest protector and choose a face painting to match the theme!
5 pm Disco doors open.
5.15 pm and 6 pm Fiona Fiouh’s dance lessons and the return of the cackling surprise guest
7.00 pm Disco doors and workshops close.

The disco evening is crowned by a street theatre company performing in the front yard of Annantalo: Fauna Humana is a musical and dancing group whose characters embody a human animal and an animal human. Fauna Humana is always on the side of good and protects the people from everyday apathy!

Workshops from 4.30 pm to 7 pm
The last workshop participants are admitted at 6.45 pm.

Forest power workshop
Would you like to save the old forest and protect the homes of forest animals? Become a forest protector! Spell out for yourself a forest protector’s headdress, a power tail, a forest people’s belt or a scepter. Artist and defender of forests Aino Mielikki Maa will guide you on your journey to the world of forest powers.

Face Paint Shop Forest Spirits
A pinch of forest magic as glitter on the cheeks? Face Paint Shop Forest Spirits conjures up face paintings that complete your disco style perfectly! Do you choose magic butterflies, a fox or any other themed painting from our range? The face paintings are made by Melissa Pippola and Tuija Hellas.

Tiitiäinen’s story room
Immerse yourself for a moment in an atmospheric story time. In Tiitinen’s story room, Kirsi Kunnas’ nature-themed stories are featured as moving figures and images on screen. The atmospheric soundscape, dim lighting and soft places to lie on invite you to relax and dive into the world of fairytale forest. The story time is carried out by Annantalo’s art educators.

Magic Forest drawing workshop
Let’s step into the magic forest together! Welcome to an inspiring drawing workshop where Brazilian artist Fabu Pires will introduce you to the magical world of forests. In the workshop, the participants create a big work of art using colourful acrylic pain pens. Together we ponder what kind of fascinating creatures, plants and landscapes can be found in different forests of the world – imagination is the limit!

Enchanted Forest – Relaxation space
Step into an enchanted forest where spruces whisper, mossy mounds invite you to rest, and pinecones tell stories. The space is filled with the fresh scent of the forest, offering a calming environment. You can also taste a drop of conifer extract and dried cranberries.

The workshops are mainly conducted in Finnish and English, but everyone is welcome regardless of language skills.
