Birth of a Bird is an interactive music experience in virtual reality. With a VR headset, you can experience what it feels like to touch sound and control it with your movements. You don’t need any previous experience with a VR headset.

Birth of a Bird takes the wearers of VR headsets to the middle of a composition. They will hear the sounds move around them. They can touch the sounds, hold them in their hands or bring them to their ears to hear new details. They can walk among the sounds and control the composition with their movements, influencing the nature of the music they hear.

The creator, Janne Storm, will be present to instruct visitors in the use of a VR headset and give tips on how to best experience the piece. Janne is a sound designer, multi-instrumentalist and composer of theatre, film and VR experiences.

Free admission, no advance registration. This is a non-stop event, so you can arrive at a time that suits you best. There will be several VR headsets, and everyone will get to experience the piece in turn. Please be prepared to wait for your turn for a while.
