Naisesikuvia – Short Film

The short film project Naisesikuvia is a documentary fiction film that gives a voice to young girls from immigrant backgrounds.

The film explores their own experiences of everyday life, their living environment, the services aimed at them, and their experiences of participation and community.

“What would the world be like if we had more diverse female role models?”

This is the question explored by Walina, the film’s main character, who has an immigrant background. Would she feel less like an outsider and less different? Would it be easier to be seen and accepted for who she truly is?

One of the film’s central themes is friendship and the experience of being together – and how it can change everything. Alongside the theme of loneliness, another equally powerful theme runs through the film: hope.

In the film, the girls themselves act as content creators and narrators. Together with professional screenwriter Yasmin Ahsanullah and dramaturge Elina Izarra, the young people planned what aspects of their everyday lives in Finnish society they wanted to bring to light.

Theatre Demos About Womanhood

Theatre demos created by young people from Narri. In the demos, the young people explore themes and questions related to womanhood.

K-pop Dance Performances

Independently practising K-pop dance groups of young people will perform their own choreographies.

At the end of the performances, everyone who wants to can join in and try K-pop dancing themselves!

Tote Bag Customisation Workshop

Bring your own tote bag and give it a makeover!

In the tote bag customisation workshop, you can design and create your own unique tote bag. The workshop introduces techniques inspired by street art and encourages you to create something bold and completely your own.

The workshop is led by Mimmit peinttaa street artists Ruusa and Milla Sipola.

PHOTOWALL

Come capture the feeling of the day at the PHOTOWALL!

You can take a photo on your own or with your friends, and take the picture home as a keepsake.
