On the evening of Helsinki Day, Tiivistämö will host a special rap showcase featuring Raakasaga, Sirpa & Myöhäset, and whereismike, one of Finland’s most exciting young artists and a 2024 YleX Läpimurto selection.

The event is free of charge and open to all ages.
(Tiivistämö’s foyer bar will serve adult customers.)

Raakasaga is an artist whose music combines experimental elements, emotional soundscapes, and influences from roots music, rap, and electronic music. Most of their songs explore themes of identity, emotions, society, and personal experiences. Raakasaga’s style is original and boldly boundary-breaking, resulting in music that is both profound and impactful.

The evening will culminate with a performance by whereismike, who was selected for the 2024 YleX Läpimurto list and is currently one of Finland’s most compelling young artists. He recently released his new album, “mä oon vaan ihminen” (“I’m Only Human”), which showcases his signature blend of genres including emo rap, pop, and punk. His songs address life’s darker sides with raw honesty, romanticizing melancholy in a way that creates a strong sense of connection and belonging for listeners.

The evening will open with a performance by Helsinki-based Sirpa & Myöhäset.
