Pihlajamäki youth parks freestypark or better known Savela skate park

Description

The skateboarding container run by young summer workers will be open on weekdays from 2 June to 31 July at 10:30–17:40 (closed on fri 12.6., fri 19.6. and fri 10.7.). 

You can borrow equipment such as scooters, skateboards, BMX bikes and appropriate fenders and helmets from the skateboarding container in the park. During the summer, the instructors will provide a beginner course on how to use the park safely, a variety of instructed activities and some fun competitions. The young summer workers and youth instructors will also help park users in situations requiring first aid. We recommend bringing your own water bottle to the skate park – as well as some cheerfulness, of course! 

Next to the park you will also find a café named Linnunpesä, where you can buy a variety of summer treats if you are feeling peckish. 

Park users will not be insured by the City of Helsinki during the activities.
