Rock climbing

Description

In June, the Environmental Activities Youth Work Unit will provide rock climbing familiarisation sessions on Friday afternoons. In early June, the climbing sessions will be held at the Käärmekallio climbing rock next to the Ikea store in Vantaa, while later sessions will be held at Naulakallio in Mellunmäki.

Käärmekallio is located in the vicinity of the Ikea store in Vantaa. You can find the place by using Google Maps with the search words ‘Käärmekallio climbing rock’. 

You do not need any prior experience, as both rocks feature suitable climbing routes for both beginners and more experienced climbers. The activities will have a strong focus on climbing itself, but in order to ensure smooth and safe activities, we will also go through climbing technique and safety on climbing rocks.
