Board game evenings at Lauttasaari

Description

What and where?

We organize board game / tabletop roleplaying game evenings for 16-25-year-olds on Fridays 16-21 pm in Lauttasaari youth center. You can participate in the events even in the middle of the evening. All players are welcome regardless of previous experience. We also organize special board game/ttrpgs evenings and camps occasionally outside of the regular Friday evenings. The main language in the evenings is Finnish but most participants can speak English too. You may bring your own snacks with you to the event. We have an oven, a microwave and a water boiler in the building.

Playing and registration

There is registration for the weekly Fridays so we know how many players there will be. For your first time you can do this by contacting Emi/Emilia directly (the youth worker who is responsible of the events). You can find her contact info at the end of this info section. Other times you can inform about your attendance through our Discord server. You will get the invitation to the Discord after your first participation.

Board games

We have some board games with us. Formerly we have played for example Terraforming mars, Wingspan, 7 Wonders, Coup. Some of our regular attendees play MTG. You may bring your own game with you to the events!

Tabletop roleplaying

The ttrpgs we play usually take 3-4 hours depending on the game and number of participants. Come and play a oneshot or host your own game as a DM! We plan the ttrpg sessions beforehand so we know there will be enough players. 

Principles of a safer place

Our activities are lgbtq+ friendly. We follow principals of safer place in all of our activities. Discrimination will not be tolerated.
