The You X Premiere livestream

The You X by Helsinki Flow School festival’s Stream event will add further spice to the festival atmosphere. 

In October 2020, one of the largest festivals in Finland, Flow Festival, and the largest employer in Finland, the City of Helsinki, started the Flow School workshop series to introduce young people aged 15–29 to the production side of the event industry. 

The mentors from the City and Flow Festival provided the young people with the tools for turning their ideas into reality. Through this cooperation, the You X by Helsinki Flow School was born. This event will be held for the first time this summer. The young people organising the You X envisioned an event of the future on their own terms and created a concept that, instead of big names, focuses on diverse new talent, environmental values and chilled fun. 

We will start building up the excitement with a DJ contest starting in early May that encourages new talent to take the stage; the winners will have a chance to perform in front of a audience. The thrill will continue in the You X Premiere livestream on 9 June. The You X main event will wrap things up on 18 September, starring current artists and street art talent. The You X will offer the stage, and young people will bring their skills. In the Tiivistämö area in Suvilahti, you will be able to experience explosive festival spirit through a programme that young people have curated for themselves.
