Multicultural Independence day

In the Multicultural Independence Day celebration event, we welcome and celebrate all diverse perspectives, cultures and values. For MIP2025, everyone, regardless of background, can enter the open door of opportunity to celebrate Finland’s 107th independence. 

• The event on location will start with the program, which starts at 13:00 and ends at 15:00.
• After the program, there's time for refreshments, and the whole event ends at 17:00.

This year, similarly to the previous year’s celebration, the program can also be watched online from the comfort of your home.

This year’s MIP program offers a delightful array of unique cultural and artistic performances from across continents, celebrating diversity. The lineup will feature captivating singing and dance performances, along with inspiring words from respected representatives of Finland's multicultural communities. Centred around the theme "Resilient Joy: Celebrating who we are, together".

You do not need to register to follow the event online. The event will be broadcasted live on the Helsinki-channel http://helsinkikanava.fi/
